Seattle, WA - Suislaw, OR - Crescent City, CA
We sold our Seattle home, bought an RV, put all of our belongings in storage and hit the road. Let the adventure begin! Haha, not seamlessly in that order, needless to say we got a later start than we wanted departing WA State. Trying not to be a jerk, we quietly pulled into the RV park in Suislaw, OR at 3am. We got the cats out of their kennels and found Luna had peed herself, and shortly after that Luca projectile vomited all over our comforter. Cleaning up as much as we could, we all hit our pillows hard.
The morning came and we were never so happy to see our Kuerig coffee maker. We hit the road and made it to Crescent City, CA, staying at Ramblin' RedWoods RV Park. We realized we packed way too much for the RV, so we spent most of the day minimizing and organizing. We took a bike ride to the beach and later Kingston washed our comforter at the super clean laundry facility. Wednesday came and we got back on track with Kingston's home school, enjoyed tacos and s'mores by the fire and called it a night.
Thursday we headed to the Redwoods. Stopped at Redwood National Park where we picked up some maps and Kingston's Passport to the NP's. *A nice perk, kids 10 years old homeschooled or 4th grade equivalent get into national parks for free. We made our way to our campground at Redwood Coast Cabin and RV park. Friday we rode our bikes to town, did some shopping and celebrated my birthday with amazing Indian fare. We'll be here till Sunday and excited to get into the thick of the Redwoods and tour the Avenue of the Giants.
